Art as a tool for change
I'm Katharina, an Expressive Art Therapist, based in Paris, helping you to navigate the challenges of Life (Abroad) with Clarity, Connection, and Creativity and guiding you to create in a way that feels good.
I have moved frequently- for studies, for work, for love. Each move has been a big change and a journey of adjustment to an entirely new environment. I’ve witnessed the difficulties of closing old doors, saying goodbye, letting go of familiar habits and patterns, and yet, I’ve also seen the incredible opportunities that emerge when I said “yes”.
I am interested in the idea of Home. “Home” is not just a physical place, but has a deep emotional and psychological meaning for everyone. Through art, I search for a way to give meaning to this concept of home, a place that feels safe and a place with which I can support the process of transformation.

My approach to Art Therapy
I help anyone who feels lonely or lost, who struggles with adapting to a new situation, family problems, feeling bad about themselves, or the overall challenges of life and life transitions. I offer both group and one-on-one therapy.
I use a combination of art-making and talking to help people feel better in their bodies, minds, and emotions. Making art can help you be kinder to yourself, understand yourself better, and feel okay with who you are. Reflection, self-knowledge, and methods in creative processes help you to understand creative blocks and enable flow.
